Onion Products
Compare fresh, peeled, frozen, dehydrated and fried onion products for wholesale and food processing. Start with the colour and processing state you need, then discuss the selected product’s specification and packing.
Select by colour, form and preparation process
Whole onions, peeled onions and processed ingredients fit different stages of food preparation. The general fresh and peeled listings sit alongside more specific red and yellow onion products; they should not be interpreted as additional varieties. Use the range to narrow the format before comparing specifications.
Onion Products buying guide
Use these points to prepare a product-specific inquiry.
Colour & product identity
State whether you need red or yellow onions and whether a general onion specification is acceptable. Select the relevant listing and confirm its grade and form. The general Fresh Onion listing is a range entry rather than an additional onion colour.
Preparation & processing
Compare fresh, peeled, IQF, dehydrated and fried products in relation to your own preparation process. Review the listed form and composition. Peeled, frozen and dried products should not be treated as interchangeable ingredients without checking recipe requirements.
Sizes & cuts
Include the whole-onion grade, piece size, cut or dry-ingredient form relevant to your request. Refer to the selected product’s listing and send any purchasing specification for review. Do not assume all cuts apply to every onion format.
Applications
Explain whether you are sourcing for wholesale distribution, kitchen preparation, sauces, prepared meals or dry blends. Tell us how the ingredient will be used, including any appearance or preparation requirements that affect the specification.
Packing, labels & quantity
Send the required quantity, pack size, intended use and destination. Add retail or private-label requirements where relevant. Minimum quantities, available packing and delivery terms need to be confirmed for the selected onion product.
Storage & product documents
Confirm storage conditions, handling instructions and shelf life for the chosen fresh, frozen or processed item. Identify any specification, ingredient statement or other document needed for your purchasing review.

Buyer questions
What is the difference between the general and colour-specific onion listings?
Fresh Onion and Fresh Peeled Onion describe general ranges. Separate red and yellow listings help buyers specify colour; they are not additional onion varieties beyond their stated identity.
Can I specify both colour and form?
Yes. Include the colour, processing state and intended use in your inquiry so the relevant product specification can be reviewed.
Do all peeled onion listings describe diced onions?
Do not infer the cut from the word peeled. Review the individual listing and confirm the required whole or cut form before ordering.
Where can I find frozen or dehydrated onions?
The processed-ingredient group includes IQF Onion and Dehydrated Onion. Open either product to review its listed form and prepare a specification inquiry.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Include the onion product, colour, form, specification, quantity, preferred pack size and destination. Add delivery timing and any label requirements.
Can one storage instruction cover the full onion range?
No. Fresh, frozen, dehydrated and fried items have different handling needs. Confirm the instructions and shelf life for the selected product.
